The Deputy Magistrate, Yunlin County Government, Xie, Shu-ya, and CSO, Chief Sustainability Officer, actively promotes sustainable governance and is committed to implementing the United Nations SDGs and the vision for National Net Zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions by demonstrating outstanding achievements in multiple aspects from smart agriculture, resource recycling, low-carbon transformation to elderly care. Under her leadership, Yunlin built the country's first "Zero Waste Resource System (ZWS), promoted innovative applications such as smart fish ponds and AI poultry houses, and established social care measures such as the Evergreen Canteen and Tianlun D+ Card to create an elderly-friendly city. The county government has won numerous domestic and overseas awards, such as ICF, Intelligent Community Forum, the Global Top 7 Smart Cities, Examination Yuan Public Service Outstanding Contribution Award, and National Sustainable Development Award. Deputy County Magistrate Xie has forward-looking thinking and integration capabilities, and is truly an excellent example of regional sustainable development.
