Driven by the dual forces of the rapid rise of Artificial Intelligence and the severe challenges of climate change, AI has become a critical accelerator for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). From energy optimization, smart manufacturing, and the circular economy to healthcare, educational equity, and financial inclusion, AI is driving a comprehensive upgrade of society and industry as a "solution provider." At the same time, Taiwan is using the "New Top 10 AI Infrastructure Projects" as a blueprint to promote smart applications and digital foundations, making AI the core momentum for public life and industrial advancement, and leveraging technology to respond to challenges such as declining birthrates and labor shortages.

The Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE) has long promoted the "TCSA Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards," which has received extensive responses from the industry and all sectors of society. Over the years, more than 1,075 enterprises have participated, with their total turnover equivalent to 152% of Taiwan's 2024 GDP. Through award promotion and advocacy exchange, TAISE continues to lead enterprises and organizations in deepening their commitment to ESG and SDGs, demonstrating that sustainability has become a common language driving policy, industry, and social innovation.

In response to international trends and policy visions, TAISE has established the "AI for SDGs Excellence Award" to recognize individuals and organizations that leverage AI to create exceptional impacts. This initiative aims to accelerate the achievement of SDGs, solve social issues, and make AI the core momentum for Taiwan's digital upgrade and sustainable leadership. We hope to inspire industry, government, academia, and research sectors to work together to promote the deep integration of AI and sustainability, accelerating the net-zero transition, strengthening social resilience, and creating an exemplary international benchmark.
