Asia-Pacific SDGs Sustainable Exhibition Awards – Judges Training Program

    — Seeing Value Through Expertise, Unlocking the Transformative Forces of Change in Sustainable Events —

    Course Introduction
As global climate change and environmental challenges continue to intensify, the principles of sustainable development and the circular economy have become central concerns for the international community and industries worldwide. As key platforms for showcasing corporate innovation and achievements, conventions and exhibitions also carry an important responsibility for environmental stewardship and social responsibility.

Within the events and exhibitions industry, the integration of sustainability principles into event design and operations—along with the promotion of resource circularity and effective carbon emissions management—has become a major focus of industry development.

To accelerate the green transition and advance sustainable development, the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE) plans to launch the Asia-Pacific Sustainable Events Training Program. This program aims to cultivate professional talent and guide the industry in implementing green transformation practices.

Upon successful completion of the training, participants will be eligible for Trainee Assessor status and may be appointed by TAISE as assessors at various levels, participating in the judging process of the Asia-Pacific SDGs Sustainable Exhibition Awards.

    Course Highlights

    • Advancing Green Exhibition Design and Implementation:
Covering the selection of eco-friendly materials, waste management strategies, and carbon emissions management, complemented by practical case studies and real-world applications.

    • Strengthening Corporate Understanding and Application of the Circular Economy:
Introducing the fundamental principles of the circular economy and their application in exhibitions and events, including the adoption of renewable materials, reduction of resource waste, and promotion of resource recovery and recycling.

    • Creating Sustainable Value and Social Responsibility:
Exploring how to assess the integration of corporate sustainability values with social responsibility through innovative and sustainable exhibition practices, while fostering inclusive and accessible participation platforms for diverse stakeholder groups.

    • Developing Professional Sustainability Assessors:
Equipping participants with the competencies required to evaluate sustainable exhibitions and events, enabling them to serve as assessors for the Asia-Pacific SDGs Sustainable Exhibition Awards and other sustainability-related initiatives, thereby contributing to the industry’s green transition.

    Target Audience
    • Exhibition planners and operations professionals seeking to integrate sustainability principles into exhibition planning and execution.

    • Corporate sustainability professionals aiming to further strengthen their carbon management capabilities.

    • Exhibition designers and suppliers looking to enhance their capacity for green innovation and sustainable solutions.

    • Cross-disciplinary professionals with a strong interest in the development of sustainable exhibitions.

Enrollment in this course is limited to individuals holding a Taiwan National Identification Card or a Permanent Resident Certificate (APRC).
