    2018 Categories

    In accord with their distinct Award contents, there are four major categories of awards, as follows:

    Corporate Comprehensive Performance

    1. The award evaluates overall performance in the three dimensions of corporate 
        governance, environmental management, and the public interest, for outstanding 
        firms fulfilling social responsibilities while meeting development visions and strategies.
    2. The award is given respectively in two classes to Domestic Enterprises and 
        International Enterprises.
    3. The highest ten performing enterprises are recognized with the Ten Most 
        Sustainable Company Awards, while the enterprises with the next best performance 
        scores are awarded with the Corporate Sustainability Awards.
    4. There are no fixed limits to the number of these recognized enterprises, the number 
        of awards is determined flexibly based on the number of participating enterprises and 
        their performance that year.



    Best Performance of Specific Category

    To recognize enterprises specific outstanding performance and exemplary models,
    the following efficacy awards have been established:

    1. Growth through Innovation Award:Exhibiting outstanding innovation capabilities 
        and values, while fulfilling corporate growth and continuing to meet profitability targets.
    2. Transparency and Integrity Award:Corporate governance processes are 
        transparent, evincing corporate operational integrity.
    3. Supply Chain Management Award:Fulfilling environmental protection, human 
        rights and corporate governance, to establish sustainable supply chain management.
    4. People Development Award:Support Employee Career Development and Training,
        for an Empowering Enterprise.
    5. Creativity in Communication Award:Recognizing outstanding communication 
        creativity, and establishing consensuses with stakeholders.
    6. Social Inclusion Award:Including social requirements as core focuses to establish 
        shared value operating modes.
    7. Climate Leadership Award:Responsiveness to climate change, displaying 
        excellent efficacy in reducing or ameliorating climate change.
    8. Sustainable Water Management Award:Establish sustainable and safe water 
        supply systems and equipment, while disclosing significant water resource use 
        reduction efficacy.
    9. Circular Economy Leadership Award:Improve Resource Usage, Develop Innovative 
        Business Model, or three dimensions of Economy Performance of Business, Environment,
        or Society.
    10.Gender Equality Award:Emphasizing Gender Equality Rights, Elimination of
         Discrimination, and Promotion of a Friendly and Conducive Work Environment


    ※Best Performance of Specific Category enterprise awards are not distinguished into Domestic Enterprises or International Enterprises sub-categories.

     

     

    Corporate Sustainability Report

    1.The award is seperated by 「Corporate Sustainability Report」 and 「English Reportage Award」. 
    2.This award category recognizes Corporate Sustainability Report coverage evincing 
        fulfillment of social responsibility through information disclosure completeness, 
        credibility, communication efficacy, with awards for the Top 50 Corporate 
        Sustainability 
    Report Awards
    , with awards for enterprises scoring outside 
        the top 50 given the Corporate Sustainability Report award.
    3. There are no fixed limits to the number of these recognized enterprises, the number 
        of awards is determined flexibly based on the number of participating enterprises and 
        their performance that year.
    4. To encourage more enterprises to prepare Corporate Sustainability Reports, this year’s 
        Awards will establish the New Comer  Sustainability Report Awards to recognize 
        first time participant Corporate Sustainability Reports, with  SME Sustainability 
        Report Awards
     and the Non-Profit Organization Sustainability Report Awards, 
        recognizing small and medium-sized enterprises and not-for-profit organizations 
        proactive promotion of information disclosure and fulfillment of corporate social 
        responsibilities.
    5. Corporate Sustainability Report awards are not distinguished into Domestic Enterprises 
        or International Enterprises sub-categories.
    6.The “English Reportage Award” : aims to encourage more enterprises to issue
       English language Corporate Sustainability Reportage, with more English 
       information disclosure ratios, so as to reduce barriers for inclusive stakeholder
       access to read the reports, and thus from 2018 there will be added the “English
       Reportage Award”; the CSR disclosure contents must focus on the corporation’s
       actual sustainability efforts in Taiwan (there are no limits on the number of
       Award recipients, with recognition depending flexibly on the number of
       participating corporations and their respective performance).

    ※ Corporate Sustainability Report enterprise awards are not distinguished into
        Domestic Enterprises or International Enterprises sub-categories.

     

    The Outstanding Corporate Sustainability Professionals

    To foster efforts at fulfilling social responsibility, promoting outstanding contributions through corporate efforts at sustainable development work, this category recognizes exemplary individuals through Awards for the Outstanding Corporate Sustainability Professionals.

     

    Awards Overview

    1. All participating entries corporate applications, registration, and other submissions of 
        information, shall be deemed to constitute permission for the host organizations acting 
        in the public interest, without limitation as to time or place, to collate, process, use, 
        and make analysis or data compilations, publish, or make media usage (print media, 
        online platforms, etc.) and to disclose the matter through other channels, or make 
        digitalization uses thereof.
    2. After any enterprise wins an award, it shall be deemed to agree that based on the 
        principles of transparency, integrity and equity, openness, and fairness, it shall agree 
        to authorize the host organization to publish, republish any award related fact or 
        information (from the original submissions of award evaluation contents), for later 
        analytical and data processing uses, publication of books, or other media uses (print 
        media, online platforms, etc.) and to disclose the matter through other channels, or 
        make digitalization uses thereof.
    3. Participating enterprises provided information shall be true, and to ensure the corporate 
        sustainability spirit is fulfilled respecting transparency and integrity in information 
        disclosure, if there shall be any malicious non-disclosure, where any report of such a 
        matter is made, the participating enterprise agrees that the organizing entities may in 
        accordance with the nature of such matters appropriately modify or cancel any awards.
    4. The organizing entities retain the ultimate rights to amend, change, interpret events, 
        or cancel the awards, and for any changes such matters shall be solely made public on
        the internet, with no other notice thereof to be provided.
