2016 TCSA Ceremony New Record for Number of Prize-Winning Corporates and Performance

The 2016 Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards (TCSA) was held at Howard Civil Service International House Convention Hall on Wednesday 9:00 am, November 23rd. Over 9 chairmen, one vice-chairman, thirty-three managing directors, and sixteen vice presidents, attended this ceremony and receive prize. The Ceremony invited Vice President of Taiwan Mr. Chien-Jen Chen as presenter and give opening remarks. The three categories of Awards are "The Outstanding Corporate Sustainability Professionals Award", " The Most Prestigious Sustainability Award – Top Ten Domestic Corporates", "The Most Prestigious Sustainability Award– Top Three Foreign Corporates" and the "Sustainable Corporates" Awards, the prize winners are listed below. Almost 500 people attend the TCSA ceremony. 1. "The Outstanding Corporate Sustainability Professionals Awards" are the new installation for TCSA, the awards recognize the model individual professional who contributed greatly to sustainable development effort. The winners are CTCI Chairman Mr. John T. Yu, Cathay Financial Holdings President Mr. Chang-Ken Lee and Sinyi Realty Chairman Chun-Chi Chou.  The group photo of CTCI Chairman Mr. John T. 2. The prize-winners for "Ten Most Sustainable Corporate Awards" are TSMC, Delta Electronics, and China Steel (manufacturing industry), Chunghwa Telecom, Taiwan Mobile, Far Eastone Telecom (Telecommunication industry), E. Sun Financial Holdings, Fubon Financial Holdings, and Cathay Financial Holdings(financial sector), and Sinyi Realty (service sector).
3. The very first time "The Most Prestigious Sustainability Award – Top Three Foreign Corporates" winners are Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing Company, Mercedes-Benz and Hewlett Packard Enterprise & HP Inc. 4. The "Sustainable Corporate" Award goes to HIWIN Technology, UMC Electronic, Far Eastern New Century, AUOptronics, CTCI, Taiwan Power, and TECO.  Vice President of Taiwan Dr. Chien-Jen Chen, President of TACS Dr. Eugene Chien, FSC Vice Chairman: Cheng-Mount Cheng FSC Vice Chairman: Cheng-Mount Cheng also attended the ceremony and present for "Corporate Sustainability Report Awards", "Annual Best CSR Reports Awards", "SME Sustainability Report Awards", and "New Comer Sustainability Report Awards", total of 115 corporate and individual crowned with awards. TCSA Chief Judge Dr. Eugene Chien stated, the ninth TCSA is organized by the newly founded TACS, hope this award can encourage corporate with positive energy and build Taiwan's model. (For complete list of Prize-Winners please visit official site of TCSA https://tcsaward.org.tw/tw/main) The TCSA is organized by Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE), it is the ninth year for TAISE to host this event, grand total of 173 corporate have participated, the total turnover of all the companies equals to 88.12% of Taiwan's annual GDP in 2015, this indicates the importance of CSR issues and this award. Aside from the original reporting awards, specific categories are "Growth through Innovation Awards", "Creativity in Communication Awards", "Transparency and Integrity Awards", "Social Inclusion Awards", "Supply Chain Management Awards", "Climate Leadership Awards", "People Development Awards" and "Sustainable Water Management Awards". The newly founded "The Outstanding Corporate Sustainability Professionals Award" and "The Most Prestigious Sustainability Award – Top Three Foreign Corporates" shows the multi-dimensions and diversity of sustainability contribution. The performance of corporations participated this year’s TCSA are much enhanced from years past. The winners of top ten outstanding sustainability corporations and international corporations have revealed superior success in all the ESG dimensions to demonstrate brilliant paradigms for all corporations.
