Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Oscar TCSA Recognize Corporates with Good Environmental Performance
The 2016 TCSA (Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards) was originally organized by TAISE, now organized by the newly founded Taiwan Academy of Corporate Sustainability (TACS), there were grand total of 173 corporates participated, and their total revenue is equal to 88.12% of Taiwan's 2015 annual GDP, showing how much attention is received by. To ensure the review process and outcome is fair and justified there were 228 volunteer judges and industrial experts participated in the reviewing. TACS hope this Awards will help promote awareness of the sustainable development issues.
Many corporates performed well on environmental protection issue this year with overall better quality than last year. The TCSA have three awards judging on environmental protection related issues. The Sustainable Water Management Awards focus on corporates' water management performance, like water supply equipment, promotion of water saving, use of water cycle, and water reuse. The Climate Leadership Awards praise coporates with outstanding carbon reduction effort and effort put into climate change related issues. The Supply Chain Management Awards recognizes corporates manage their supply chain with eco-friendly, human-rights, and governance.
As the issue of climate change rising it is commendable for those corporate with outstanding contribution to climate change related issues. The TCSA ceremony and Summit will hold on Wednesday November 23rd, TAISE welcome everyone to attend and witness this great moment for corporates one year's hard work.
