2016 TCSA Announced Prize-Winners for Ten Most Prestigious Sustainability Awards
To improve scholarship level and impact of Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards (TCSA), Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE) founded Taiwan Academy of Corporate Sustainability (TACS) to implement TCSA's judging process. There are four different categories of awards, "Corporate Comprehensive Performance Awards" to praise corporate with great sustainability performance, "Best Performance of Specific Category" judging on corporates' brilliant effort on specific area, Corporate Sustainability Report Awards to commend corporate with good ESG disclosure performance, and the "The Outstanding Corporate Sustainability Professionals Awards" to praise the model individual that contribute the most to sustainable development. The four categories awards judging local corporates, with great sustainable performance, high quality CSR reportage and individual with great contribution to CS development.
Total of 122 corporates participated in this year's TCSA, 39 corporates signed up for "Corporate Comprehensive Performance Awards" (9 of 39 are foreign enterprise), total of 228 experts, judges and volunteer practitioners with period of 2 month and many review meeting, the 2016 TCSA "Most Sustainable Company Awards" and decent comprehensive performance "Corporate Sustainability Awards" finally came out. High quality corporates that are receiving "The Most Prestigious Sustainability Awards-Top Ten Domestic Corporate" awards are categorized as manufacturing industries Taiwan Semiconductor Co, Delta Electronic Inc. and China Steel Co.; categorized as financial industries E. Sun Financial Holding Co., Fubon Financial and Cathay Financial Holding; and categorized as service industries Sinyi Realty Co as well. Total of 7 Prize-winners for the "Corporate Sustainability Report Awards" ,that praise corporate's efforts on all sustainability dimensions are Hiwin Technology Corp., United Microelectronics Corporation, Far Eastern New Century Corporation, AU Optronics Corp., CTCI Corporation, Taiwan Power Company and TECO Electric & Machinery Co. Ltd..
