Taoyuan Youth Startup Acceleration Ecosystem: Global Linkage and Local Transformation
The Department of Youth Affairs, Taoyuan City Government, launched the Taoyuan Youth Startup Acceleration Ecosystem to help startups overcome limited market access and proof-of-concept (PoC) field validation. The program operates through two accelerators. The Taoyuan Skyline Accelerator focuses on the digital economy, ESG and other emerging fields, using a two-way international soft-landing strategy to connect startups with resources in the United States, Japan, India and South Korea. It has helped 18 teams secure orders exceeding NT$270 million and supported an MOU signed in Japan. A8 TSIA (Taoyuan Smart Industry Accelerator) focuses on smart manufacturing, healthcare and green technology, matching startups with enterprises for proof-of- concept validation. It has matched 12 teams with publicly listed companies and helped one team raise NT$25 million. The Department also co-founded the Taoyuan Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance to integrate industry, government and academic resources and extend AI transformation tools to young farmers, cultural-creative ventures and other local youth-led industries.
