Deep Energy Conservation: Upgrading Sustainability
In response to Taiwan’s Deep Energy Conservation policy, Taipower actively drives energy efficiency and savings (SDG 7) through its “Internal Leadership, External Partnership” strategy. Internally, it develops energy-efficiency professionals (SDG 4) and implements comprehensive measures, achieving 4,153,661 kWh in cumulative savings in 2025. Externally, these professionals provide energy conservation visits and audits for business customers. With smart meters and the High-Voltage Customer Portal, these services help industries adopt Energy Management Systems, replace high-consumption equipment, and improve energy-use behaviors (SDG 9). Taipower works with government agencies, NGOs, and experts (SDG 17) to advance these services, improve energy efficiency, support demand-side management (SDG 12), strengthen grid resilience, and lower emissions (SDG 13). In 2025 user audits, it identified 116.5 million kWh in potential savings. Taipower reaches communities, homes, and schools to strengthen users’ energy-saving and carbon-reduction literacy, guiding society toward the SDGs and a net-zero future.
