Cathay Century Insurance

Zero-Accident Education Initiative for All Ages and Settings
Facing a super-aged society and rising traffic and daily safety risks, Cathay Century Insurance has extended its role from post-accident claims to proactive accident preventionp. According to Taiwan’s Road Safety Information Platform, road traffic accidents exceeded 400,000 in 2025, with 2,858 fatalities. Cathay therefore promotes safety education across all ages and settings to improve public risk awareness and create safer living environments. Through the “Zero-Accident Education Initiative for All Ages and Settings,” Cathay turns its insurance expertise into social education resources, contributing to UN Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education. Courses are tailored to different groups, from traffic safety and hazard perception for children and youth to home disaster prevention and daily safety education for seniors. The initiative also uses board games, VR, AR, and scenario-based learning to increase engagement, while working with cross- sector partners to expand impact. Through long-term safety education, Cathay is building a risk- prevention-centered insurance service model, helping people develop safer habits and fostering a safer, more resilient society.
