Building Sustainable Impact from Immersive Experiences to Life Practices
Far Eastern New Century (FENC) envisions the circular economy as essential life literacy, not just technical data. To make sustainable behaviors intuitive across generations, this project transforms our core "r-PET bottle recycling technology" into an educational initiative for social good, advancing SDGs through three highlights: First, the "The Transformative Magic of Circularity" gamified elementary curriculum makes rigid concepts engaging. Across 173 sessions for nearly 10,000 participants, it achieved a 92% cognitive reversal rate, with 87% of students committing to daily eco-actions. Second, FENC upgraded the "Egret Academy" interactive displays at Beitou Refuse Incineration Plant, drawing 13,000+ visits from 11 countries over a decade. Third, we expanded internationally by partnering with Vietnam's AEON Mall for a closed-loop recycling project and Eco-Week, recycling 220,000 PET bottles and reducing 7,908 kg of carbon emissions in 2025. Utilizing modular teaching materials and digital media, the project ensures high replicability. FENC will continue leveraging cross-sector collaborations to expand sustainable education globally, advancing a zero-waste, net-zero future.
