Sustainable Fast-Track Person-Centered Care
In March 2024, Shuang Ho Hospital established a three-axis parallel model of "Swift · Precise · Person-Centered", integrating a dual-checkpoint mechanism (bed assignment / surgery dispatch), the An-Kang cloud-based checklist linked to HIS / surgical scheduling / anesthesia systems, Power BI data management, and Octalysis Framework behavioral design to systematically address emergency department crowding, incomplete pre-operative preparation, and insufficient process efficiency. Key Outcomes: ED boarding >48 hours ↓94.2%, average length of stay ↓20.6%, bed turnover rate ↑52.4%, consent form deficiency rate ↓71%, critical value response rate ↑433.3%, CMI ↑4.1%, and An-Kang Ward patient satisfaction reaching 96.4%. This initiative leveraged existing space and resources to achieve multiple improvements through process reengineering under staffing constraints, reflecting the spirit of ESG. Its modular design holds potential for cross- institutional replication, providing empirical evidence that "Swift, Precise, and Person-Centered" care can be achieved simultaneously.
