Washing Back Happiness: Enhancing Senior Well-being via In-Home Bathing
Taiwan Life has heard from policyholders about their troubles in the context of an aging population: Statistics show that 70% of caregivers find bathing a person with disabilities challenging, and 50% have sustained injuries. Rural areas and disabled seniors are the most affected. Since 2017, Taiwan Life has partnered with the Bjørgaas Foundation to deploy mobile bathing vehicles to rural areas and run activities to help seniors age healthily. I.Rural Elderly Care:Taiwan Life volunteers support rural bathing services and health courses, helping slow dementia and functional decline through an integrated solution. As of 2025: 5,700+ instances, 100% satisfaction, and nearly 1,000 hours. II.Insurance&National Long-Term Care:Through these efforts, Taiwan Life personnel gain insight into the pressures of long-term care, facilitating insurance planning and support, making the Taiwan Life network a platform for national policy. III.Core Expertise and Innovative Wellness Ecosystem:Taiwan Life launched an insurance + healthy aging service connecting medical and wellness resources, trained Wellness Advisors, and introduced an insurance plan that integrates genetic testing for early detection.
