Nan Shan Life Care for Remote Indigenous Villages Program
Nan Shan Life actively addresses the compounding impacts of climate change and shifting social structures on health equity in remote areas. Guided by our vision as a "Sustainability and Health Leader," we launched the "Care for Remote Indigenous Villages Program" in 2023, committing to a 10-year pledge to support 100 tribal communities. Moving beyond traditional one-off charity or material donations, this project leverages our core insurance competency in risk identification to build a systemic, enduring support model through cross-sector resource integration and digital empowerment. Aligned with SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), the program establishes an integrated care platform. It unites 14 local Integrated Delivery System (IDS) medical teams, the Digital Humanitarian Association, and our Nan Shan Health Guardian Circle. Over three years, the initiative served over 67,000 passenger-times and boosted elderly health literacy by 37%. With a verified Social Return on Investment (SROI) of 8.5, this model serves as a scalable social innovation for health equity.
