Longchen P&P Water Recycling Technology
(I) Promotion Goals and Vision
Longchen P&P aims to be a leader in low-carbon paper and green packaging. We recycle waste paper into cartons, reducing deforestation and pollution. Water recycling rate targets 97%+ through 2025, with Erlin Plant’s reclaimed water system set for 2030.
(II) Supporting SDGs through Core Capabilities
In line with SDG 6, we promote water reuse and fiber recovery.
Water Recycling: White water recycling, rainwater harvesting, and reclaimed water systems reduce freshwater use.
Sludge & Biogas: Patented sludge reuse technology recycles fibers; anaerobic systems turn wastewater into biogas, cutting coal use and emissions.
(III) Innovation
Our exclusive sludge recycling system reduces waste and reintegrates fibers into production—first of its kind in Asia.
(IV) Social Impact
In 2024, recycled sludge replaced 36,000 tons of pulp, saving 3.66 million trees and reducing emissions. Groundwater use at Erlin fell to 43%, projected to 10% by 2030 to combat land subsidence.
(V) Scalability
Technologies now used in three China plants. In 2024, 48,000 tons of sludge recycled; 37.7 million m³ of biogas recovered, cutting 77,000 tons of CO₂e.
