Standard Foods Group’s “GROW WITH LOVE” Sustainability Initiative: A Nutrition Education Program
Underprivileged children in rural Taiwan suffer from severe nutritional imbalances, hindering growth and increasing future risks of chronic diseases. Economic hardship and lack of nutrition education often lead to dependence on cheap, unhealthy food. These issues, worsened by unstable family environments, also affect learning, behavior, and personality development.
To tackle this, Standard Foods Group launched the “GROW WITH LOVE” Sustainability Initiative to boost nutritional literacy and self-reliance among rural elementary students. The program activates corporate resources through three pillars: (1) Nutritional Support – Dietitian-designed Nutrition Education Boxes deliver essential, balanced nutrients based on monthly needs. (2) Nutrition Education – We create engaging tools, run Nutrition Education Camps, and hold curriculum competitions with experts in agriculture and food. (3) NGO Partnerships – We support after-school programs with resources and teacher workshops to strengthen front-line nutrition education.
By combining food support, hands-on learning, and community empowerment, the initiative breaks the cycle of poor nutrition and builds a healthier future generation.
