Happy, Sustainable, and Prosperous Taichung 2.0With the vision of "Happy, Sustainable, and Prosperous Taichung", Taichung City continues to make breakthroughs in creating a happy and livable city. It’s the first in society to increase the number of public care institutions and kindergartens, promote age-friendly policies, council houses, and the most favorable social housing rental policy in Taiwan to create a friendly and inclusive city; on the economic side, build International Convention Center, Green Museumbrary, and Taichung Arena to create international landmarks, lay the foundation for industrial development, and build an economically prosperous city; on the environmental side, firstly develop a cooling strategy of "introducing wind, increasing green, and retaining blue", use smart technology to promote "keeping blue sky and white clouds project" to control air pollution, and formulate the "Sustainable Net-Zero Autonomy Ordinance" to create a sustainable and net-zero city. In 2023, it was ranked first among the six cities of quality of life by "Global Views Monthly" and was hailed as "the city with the best quality of life", and “The Economic Daily News” rated Taichung as the city that people most want to move to.
