Advancing Subhealth Screening Efficiency and Quality by Artificial IntelligenceThe rapid global population aging demands sustainable healthcare solutions to address escalating burdens. Taiwan faces strains from lung cancer, cardio-vascular diseases, dementia, COPD, and osteoporosis as the population ages. Our team at Taipei Medical University has leveraged AI in medical imaging for screening and alleviating healthcare burdens. Our DeepLung platform integrates low-dose CT and AI for simultaneous lung nodule, coronary calcification, emphysema, and osteoporosis risk screening. DeepBrain Cognito predicts brain age and dementia risk. DeepBrain Concussion explores thalamocortical coherence as biomarkers concussion screening and personalized treatment. These innovations have been deployed across major centers, screening over 10,000 individuals. To broaden our reach, we established DeepRad.AI in 2023, a startup dedicated to improving the AI solution for subhealth. Our research and AI achievement have won consecutive three-year FUTEX awards by National Science and Technology council and seven National Innovation Awards. Our goal is to harness cutting-edge AI technologies for continuous research and development for AI-empowered sustainable healthcare.
