Green Solutions for Lung DiseaseThe Pulmonary Rehabilitation Room at Shuang Ho Hospital treats chronic respiratory diseases with the core concept of "Smart Medicine, Healthy Breathing". We have four innovations: (1) Publication of 117 studies which clearly show the relationship between air pollution and lung diseases (2)Streamlining the rehabilitation protocols by using pragmatic medical practices (3) Developing the "Pulmonary Rehabilitation Case Management System" (4) Creating the "Home Pulmonary Rehabilitation Exercise Training Program". Our team has a strong focus on green healthcare with two features: (1) the Lung Recovery Device is designed with replaceable filter mesh and (2) Reinforcement of low-carbon medication treatment choices. Overall treatment outcomes showed a 28% reduction in the number of acute exacerbations, a 55.78% reduction in symptom scores, a 46.3% reduction in home activity limitation scores, and a 34.3% increase in quality-of-life satisfaction for an average monthly case load of 503 cases in 2023. In the future, we will persist in our efforts to attain the Sustainable Development Goals of SDG13, focusing on Climate Action.
