NewTaiPAYutilizes APIs, cloud, and blockchain technologies for quick customization to meet local needs. Citizens are engaged through interactive Q&A activities, earning New Taipei Dollars to boost civic participation and redeem for discounts at affiliated stores, encouraging cashless transactions and carbon emission reduction. This stimulates economic growth and attracts businesses. The platform also features a carbon footprint calculator, incentivizing citizens to reduce carbon daily. Through NewTaiPAY, the city has won international awards, showcasing economic progress, sustainability, and increased civic participation. As a global smart city leader, New Taipei aims to reduce emissions by 30% by 2030 and achieve net zero emissions by 2050.
