Chang Gung University of Science and Technology

This program, established for seven years, supports new resident families and migrant workers from Southeast Asia in Taiwan Chiayi, focusing on cultural, health care, and social adaptation challenges. It enhances quality of life through the university's expertise in nursing and general education. By partnering with local sectors, the program provides health care resources and promotes multicultural literacy. It has three stages: understanding, participation, and extended learning. Innovative courses like board games and culinary practices introduce key issues. Workshops help students design migrant-friendly medical plans and offer training in first aid, dementia care, and health education. A Podcast platform features second-generation students sharing their stories. The program also includes “Philosophy Friday” lectures and international forums for expert dialogues, plus health promotion and therapeutic activities. It aims to improve migrant workers' health management and care skills while enhancing the multicultural literacy of students and teachers.
