In 2015, the United Nations announced the "2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development" and adopted the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), outlining global efforts for the period between 2016 and 2030. In response to the achievement of the SDGs, the international community has advocated for cities around the world to join in promoting the SDGs.

Taiwan is facing dramatic demographic changes such as aging and declining birth rate, which have an impact on various social, economic and cultural development indicators. In 2020, the Financial Supervisory Commission officially launched the "Corporate Governance 3.0 - Sustainable Development Blueprint", aiming to encourage listed companies to disclose information related to aging and declining birth rates as part of their corporate social responsibility. This initiative promotes the UN SDG 3 - Good Health and Well-being for the Elderly CSR strategy, with the goal of creating a more comprehensive sustainable development (ESG) ecosystem and strengthening the international competitiveness of Taiwan's capital market.

In line with international development trends and government strategic goals, our organization has added the Aging-Friendly Leadership Award this year to encourage all sectors to prioritize aging-related issues and actively promote sustainable development goals. We aim to recognize outstanding achievements and contributions in implementing aging-friendly practices in both the public and private sectors. Therefore, we are organizing this themed workshop and inviting representatives from various fields to share their experiences, hoping that through experience sharing and exchange, we can increase public awareness and strengthen the promotion of aging-friendly work.
