About TCSA
As international sustainable development thoughts and the globalization of economic and trade activities gain importance, the topic of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has now become the center of attention. Many international companies have begun to give weight to CSR in economic activities, regarded now as one of the key strategic activities of business operations. Corporate Sustainability Reports (CSR) or Corporate Social Responsibility Reports (CSR Reports) refer to the information disclosure activities carried out by companies to demonstrate their commitment, performance and results in fulfilling their social responsibilities, presented with digital information such as published reports and web pages.
The Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (hereinafter referred to as "TAISE") aims to encourage companies to enhance the quality of sustainability-related information disclosure and the quantity of governance information to strengthen their commitment and contribution to sustainable development, environmental friendliness, and societal welfare. For the past fourteen years, TAISE has been organizing the "Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Award" selection event and hosting seminars on corporate sustainability reporting. These initiatives provide a platform for domestic companies to exchange and observe information from reporting documents and have garnered enthusiastic responses from businesses and various sectors of society. A total of 581 companies have participated in the awards, with their combined annual revenue-to-GDP ratio reaching 167% of Taiwan's GDP in 2021. To ensure fairness, impartiality, and transparency in the award selection process, TAISE invited 577 volunteer judges and 297 renowned experts and scholars in 2021, forming a substantial panel of 874 evaluators for the selection process.
Adapting to current trends and operational needs across sectors and building on the success of the "Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Award" (TCSA), TAISE expanded its efforts in 2020 to include the "Taiwan Sustainability Action Awards (TSAA)" and the "Taiwan Sustainability Investment Awards (Taiwan SIA)." These awards recognize outstanding achievements and contributions in the fields of sustainable development, ESG investment, and the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They are accompanied by the Taiwan Sustainable Investment Forum, the Taiwan Sustainability Action Expo, and the Global SDGs Forum, hosting grand award ceremonies that showcase Taiwan's sustainable accomplishments on an international stage.
The "Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards" (TCSA) is committed to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The association invites domestic and foreign firms, hospitals and educational institutions to collaborate and expand and continue to promote CSR notions, to play a leading role and exert a positive influence on society, to cooperate with companies to contribute to the sustainable development of Taiwan, and move towards a sustainable and bright future!
