TAISE Collaborates with Three Science Parks to Launch Training Programs
Sustainable development is an urgent and crucial issue in today's world, and industries across the board are in need of green professionals. In response to this demand, the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE), in collaboration with the three science park administrations, has launched the "Corporate Sustainability Training Workshop for TCSA Judges". Starting from June, courses will be offered within each Taiwan science park to help businesses cultivate the necessary talent and quickly embrace sustainability.
The "Corporate Sustainability Training Workshop for TCSA Judges", organized by TAISE, has been running for eight years, training over a thousand participants annually. It serves as an introductory course for various industries looking to embark on sustainable development issues. The program not only focuses on international trends but also incorporates practical training in evaluation practices. This helps participants gain a rapid understanding of the essence of implementing sustainability initiatives and ensuring disclosure quality through practical analysis.
According to the latest "Corporate Sustainable Development Action Plan" released by the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC), starting from 2025, all listed companies must compile sustainability reports and disclose industry-specific sustainability indicators based on the SASB standards. To meet the immediate needs of businesses, TAISE integrates its experience in organizing the Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards (TCSA) and guiding corporate sustainability development. The program provides a framework for sustainability reporting and writing skills, as well as detailed explanations of award assessment criteria, thereby enhancing the competitiveness and value of participating companies.
TAISE explains that the “Corporate Sustainability Training Workshop for TCSA Judges” encompasses three core instructional components: learning, practice, and evaluation. The courses are conducted throughout the day, providing participants with a seamless learning experience. It is open to industry newcomers, seasoned professionals, and students interested in sustainable development. After completing the program, participants not only contribute to the implementation of sustainability practices within their organizations but also have the opportunity to participate in the evaluation process of the Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards. This offers a valuable perspective for further learning and self-reflection.
Registration is currently open for the "2023 Corporate Sustainability Training Workshop for TCSA Judges" in the science parks, offering both basic and advanced courses. The basic course focuses on "Sustainability Reporting," while the advanced course focuses on "Sustainability Performance." Executives or professionals responsible for enhancing sustainability reporting and performance in their organizations, as well as college students and individuals interested in ESG, are welcome to apply. This program provides a close connection to international trends and paves the way to become sought-after professionals in the field of sustainability.
