Building a Staff-oriented, Sustainable & Smart Health-Promoting Workplace
In TAH, “ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all" is not merely a motto of sustainability, but also a morale that is practiced among our employees. By fully communicating with staff members and health related medical fields experts at the Health Promotion Committee, we reach a consensus on various health-related topics, which leads to the design and implementation of a health-promoting plan. The design of our staff-oriented, sustainable and smart health-promoting plan is also based on the Workplace Health Model from the US CDC, which utilizes the results of the annual staff health assessment. The plan "Do for Health Plan" in 2021, helped keep our staff general well-being in check by providing physical and mental health instructions and diet consultations during the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in a 85% satisfaction rate and a cumulative usage of nearly 2,000 in 2021 alone. Staff members claimed the plan effectively improved their health literacy and motivated them to exercise by rewarding small gifts for those who participate in the event.
To take a bigger step forward, we developed the "Better Health 2.0" plan in 2022. Aside from the continued provision of online exercise consultations, we added AR sport games and online road-running events. Even our healthcare workers, who took on the most stressful duty of facing patients every day, could still take part in the plan.
