SASB Content and Implementation Practice Workshop
On November 25, Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy Research (TAISE) and Chin-Yeh Chuang & Partners co-organized a workshop on the content and implementation of SASB standards. 82 participants attended the workshop, and a panel discussion was held to discuss and analyze the direction and context of future reporting under SASB standards. Through the training, the participants and the trainees worked together to create a new direction on the road to sustainable corporate governance.
The main purpose of the SASB workshop is to observe the world’s rapid changes in recent years. We at TAISE hope to help better people understand the new international sustainability standards and cultivate more talented professionals in the sustainability field.
The course serves as a communication channel to explain the content of SASB standards to the participants. The impact of the announcement of new SASB standards on the sustainable development of Taiwanese companies, the future development of the industry and the observation indicators are all issues worthy of attention. We invited Mr. Yi-Meng Hsieh, Director of the Securities and Futures Bureau, Mr. Jun-Hong Shih, Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Han-Ni Fang, Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Bai-Huei Liu, Vice President of Shin Kong Steel, Mr. Tsung-Sheng Liu, Chairman of Yuanta Investment Trust, and Mr. Yung-Shun Shen, Secretary General of the Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Award, to conduct a comprehensive seminar with a wide range of content and in-depth discussions, with the hope of helping and guiding companies to improve the quality of their sustainability information disclosure. We hope to help guide companies improve the quality of their sustainability disclosure content and also achieve the goals of responding to stakeholders in sustainability reports.
The FSC has mandated that from 2023 onwards, when preparing and reporting sustainability reports, they must also follow the GRI Standards, TCFD, and SASB to disclose the corresponding content. This course is designed to respond to the government's policy of training sustainability professionals for companies and to enable participants to quickly grasp the content of SASB standards, which will help companies demonstrate sustainability performance and value from multiple perspectives. The course will be offered by Ernst & Young, Ernst & Young, and PricewaterhouseCoopers, and will be filled soon. For more information, please visit https://tcsaward.org.tw/tw/about/summit/114.)
