Award Winners gain Recognition for Domestic and International Corporations and Professionals, Congra
The 2018 Most Prestigious Sustainability Award - Top Ten Domestic Corporates , Top Three Foreign Corporates and The Outstanding Corporate Sustainability Professionals Winners are Announced
Renowned as the Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Oscars Awards, the Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awrads (TCSA) announced the winners of The Outstanding Corporate Sustainability Professionals and the Taiwan Corporate Comprehensive Performance Awards today, November 18. This year’s Outstanding Corporate Sustainability Professionals honored Douglas Hsu, Chairman of the Far Eastern Group, and Wen-Long Yen, Chairman of CTBC Financial Holding, among the many outstanding participants. Among the Top Ten Domestic Corporates Award winners, the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company won First Place, while the Top Three Foreign Corporates Award First place went to Panasonic Taiwan.
This year the judging processes enjoyed 343 volunteers and 92 renowned experts, for a total of 435 participating judges to ensure the stringent, objective, fair and impartial judging processes to select the winners for the four major Award categories of Outstanding Corporate Sustainability Professionals, Corporate Comprehensive Performance, Best Performance of Specific Category, Corporate Sustainability Report, while the Comprehensive Performance award considered the performance along the three ESG dimensions of environmental sustainability (E), social inclusion (S), and corporate governance (G).
All industry sectors striving for sustainability to ensure Taiwan competitive renewal
Ambassador Eugene Chien, Chief Convenor of the Awards, noted that there was tremendous diversity of industry and organizations participating in both the Top Ten Domestic Corporates and Top Three Foreign Corporates Awards categories. Each participating entity demonstrated how they transformed their precepts and principles into actions, with senior executives ensuring sustainability was inculcated and integrated into their overall strategic planning and corporate operational principles, providing practical results in conjunction with the corporate financial and operational growth performance, to help give their best efforts to promote Taiwan’s sustainable development as irreplaceable forces for the greater good.
A major global gathering: the GCSF Global Corporate Sustainability Forum
This year will mark the inaugural GCSF to be held November 22-23 at the Grand Hotel, Taipei, with a total of 10 events and activities, along with presentations by 40 domestic and international experts sharing about CSR related topics and issues, and the entire community and industry are invited to register for particip ation.
