    Aging Life at Tunghai, Learning and Living together – Cooperation and service development in Tunghai community
    This project invited three community organizations to participate and work together. According to the needs of the communities, this project designed five supporting systems, included health promotion, activity, human resources, food supply, and operation support system. Based on the virtual college of Active Aging and Technology Innovation, teachers, students, communities, NPO, and enterprises are involved in the service delivery and platform establishment. Using the Tunghai community as an example, this project introduced many social innovation plans into the community and enhanced the quality of service and the happiness of older people at the Tunghai community.
    This project changed the interactive pattern between local communities and University. It created the chances and approaches to communicate and understanding across generations. With the use of the diverse supporting systems, the local community and its service for older people can have more resources to access, and better service capacity. Older people could have better health conditions and quality of life.

    Based on the great foundation in the previous stage, this year Tunghai University, further expanded new projects which included the double helix learning via physical and virtual approaches, labor education 2.0, the cooperation with Evergreen Academy, and Foodpanda, and the integration of five supportive systems. In terms of investment, this program included 17 departments, 117 courses, several partner universities, enterprises, health organizations, and NPOs, received more than 1500 million NT dollars donations. For the contributions; this program achieved 153 times of health evaluation services for 4600 person-times, the health promotion courses improved older people’s body fat, muscle mass, and physical fitness; more than 22,000 people used the aging and cognitive teaching aids; provided more than 250 meals to local communities. Based on the improvement of service ability and efficiency, and the support by all partners, the social return of investment increased from 3.07 t0 5.05 this year. It is a greatly enhancing social impact of this program and further towards the vision of this program “intergenerational inclusion and health village”
