Source reduction & Green production: Reduction of plastic waste in the production process
The pollution crisis caused by the proliferation of plastics has a significant impact on environment worldwide.
AUO follows the SDG12 which addresses Responsible Consumption and Production, and commits to reducing plastic waste and improving plastic recycling. Internally, AUO operates horizontally and coordinates resources through working group; externally, we work with suppliers and resource collectors to reduce plastics at the source and create social circular benefits. Starting from the issue of plastic recycling, AUO joins hands with suppliers and implement universal container of polarizer, empty barrel of alcohol, acetone recycling. During the period, through multi-party collaboration, the participation and awareness of suppliers, employees and resource recyclers were promoted. While substantially reducing the environmental loads, we are striving towards co-creating social benefits.
