Safeguarding the Health of All
The resurging global pandemic has prompted people to change the way they live and work. Innolux has over 52,000 employees around the world, which means that we have a responsibility toward the health and safety of more than 52,000 households. During the pandemic, we dedicated ourselves to the mission of safeguarding our employees while ensuring continued production by initiating a series of anti-epidemic measures to ensure business continuity, eliminate and prevent the occurrence of infections, and mitigate impacts to facilitate a swift recovery. We preemptively launched a wide range of epidemic prevention strategies and measures to achieve UN SDG 3: ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages, and transforming risks into opportunities by developing health-related risk management capabilities. Innolux has invested considerable effort and money in epidemic prevention measures over the past two years, spending an estimated NT$ 149 million in Taiwan and RMB$ 23.26 million in Mainland China. As of 2021, we had distributed 21.53 million face masks to ensure a safe and healthy workplace for employees around the globe. In addition, Innolux coordinated with the Innolux Education Foundation to donate six positive pressure testing booths to local governments and hospitals in Miaoli, Tainan, and Kaohsiung to provide health professionals with a safe environment in which to perform contact-free testing. To serve the common good, we purchased 2,700 rapid test kits and donated them to local hospitals for use by local residents; joined forces with a district medical center to develop a smart vaccine-filling machine and a BNT vaccine vial shaker, both of which were donated to the medical center; and accepted invitations from government agencies and external institutions to share our epidemic prevention experience.
