Paradigm Shift: A Scalable Sustainable Finance Infrastructure for Industrial Transition
Far Eastern New Century(FENC) is redefining industrial transition financing through an integrated sustainable finance infrastructure. Facing global pressure to decarbonize, FENC published Sustainable Finance Framework 2025(4th Edition), transforming sustainability into operational infrastructure across capital allocation and liquidity management. The framework utilized diverse instruments, including Taiwan’s first dual-axis “Green + Social” Sustainable CP, systematically connecting long-term transition financing with short-term operational liquidity. As of 2025, FENC had mobilized NT$90.2 billion through 51 instruments. These mechanisms contributed to certified green revenue reaching NT$50.6 billion, representing 41% of revenue, while Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions were reduced by 40% against the 2020 baseline. Beyond environmental outcomes, the framework also strengthened supply chain resilience for upstream MSME suppliers during macroeconomic uncertainty and tight liquidity. FENC, globally recognized by ICMA and top treasury institutions, demonstrates how sustainable finance evolves from fundraising into a core operational infrastructure supporting large-scale industrial transition.
