Resilient Farming, Everyday Living
Yunlin County faces an aging farming population, labor shortages, and climate change. To address these issues, the Yunlin County Government launched the “Resilient Agriculture in Everyday Life” initiative, using intelligent technologies, information services, and IoT applications to make smart agriculture easier for farmers to use. The project connects the Yunlin Digital Agriculture Action Platform, Yunlin Agricultural Information App, smart agriculture subsidy programs, Smart Agriculture University, and climate adaptation demonstration sites. By combining weather, soil, water, market, and crop data, the system supports production management and climate risk response. It also promotes smart irrigation, environmental sensing, automation, and intelligent aquaculture. The Yunlin Agricultural Information LINE account now has over 1,814 users, and the platform has exceeded 63,000 page views. In 2025, the Smart Agriculture Innovation Subsidy Program expanded to 39 demonstration sites, covering more than 450 hectares and supporting Yunlin’s agricultural transition.
