Smart Agro-Testing for Food Safety: Building a Sustainable Farm-to-Table Protection Network
Established in 2009 through a partnership between National Formosa University and the Yunlin County Government, the Analytical Service Center of Agriculture and Biotechnology Product is dedicated to food safety, sustainable agriculture, and environmental protection. Accredited by TFDA, TAF, and TAF GLP, the center provides reliable testing services for pesticide residues and mycotoxins, handling over 10,000 cases annually. The center also contributes to biodiversity conservation through environmental toxicity monitoring. Since 2022, it has analyzed more than 400 wild bird and roadkill samples for pesticide and rodenticide exposure, providing scientific evidence to assess threats to raptor populations and support ecosystem sustainability. The center integrates testing services with education and professional training. Through innovation, outreach, and scientific expertise, the center has established a sustainable model that protects food safety, promotes responsible agriculture, and advances environmental health.
