Migrant Journey: Advancing Decent Work and Economic Resilience in Yunlin
Yunlin County hosts over 24,000 migrant workers, supporting a USD 2.46 billion annual output. To promote SDGs 3, 5, 8, 10, and 17, the "Migrant Journey: Migrant Worker Rights Enhancement Plan" implements a dual-track framework balancing rigid compliance with empathetic care. Backed by a USD 904,980 budget (2023-2025), the project achieved breakthrough results: 9,314 on-site welfare inspections were conducted, and 140 sanctions were issued to purify the recruitment market. A multilingual "Mobile Coaching Taskforce" achieved a 100% dispute prevention rate on factory floors. Furthermore, the center handled 3,960 consultations with a 100% resolution rate for national hotline dispatches to secure the care economy. Over three years, the "Model Migrant Worker Awards" honored 51 exemplary workers, successfully driving local enterprises to transition these experienced cross-border professionals into permanent intermediate skilled talents. This project serves as a highly mature blueprint for sustainable urban inclusion.
