Building Resilient Fire Safety, Creating a Sustainable Yunlin
Reliable communication is vital for disaster response. This project improved Yunlin County’s radio signal coverage from 70% to 99% through digital upgrades, 4G integration, and backup microwave and satellite systems. Enhanced inter-agency coordination now ensures seamless communication among firefighters, medics, and command centers, boosting response speed and reducing casualties.
Beyond infrastructure, the project focused on organizational readiness and public engagement. Programs like T-CERT training, medical radio integration, and civil defense drills strengthened community resilience and embedded communication tools into disaster protocols.
Yunlin led cross-sector collaboration—linking government, academia, and industry—to deploy innovative technologies that maintain stable operations under extreme conditions. Aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, this model showcases how digital transformation and joint efforts can build disaster-resilient regions.
Moving forward, Yunlin will keep integrating global technologies and best practices to ensure smart, stable, and sustainable emergency communication.
