Empowering Communities through Clean Water
China Medical University Hospital (CMUH), in collaboration with World Vision Taiwan, launched a transformative WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) initiative in Thach Thanh, Vietnam, from October 2023 to September 2024. By establishing seven water filtration systems and delivering comprehensive hygiene education, the project directly benefited 2,318 residents—including 1,020 vulnerable children. It also trained 34 preschool teachers and supported 598 families, significantly improving public health practices. Through interdisciplinary expertise, international cooperation, and strong public engagement, over NT$30 million was raised—more than double the initial goal—marking this project as a model of humanitarian medical leadership aligned with SDGs 3, 6, and 17.
