“HeartReach”: The Golden Time Carrier
The HeartReach project revolutionizes emergency medical response in remote mining areas of Kalimantan, Indonesia, using VTOL drone technology. It addresses the long emergency response times—40 minutes by road—by deploying AED-equipped drones that reach sites in just 17 minutes, reducing response time by 58%. Developed with PT Putra Perkasa Abadi, the system features a modular, electric drone capable of switching between emergency and surveillance modes. Its 30km one-way range and 3kg cargo capacity enable rapid, zero-emission AED delivery and extended monitoring flights. Beyond saving lives, HeartReach improves safety inspection efficiency, supports search and rescue, and advances healthcare access. It aligns with SDGs 3, 9, and 13, promoting health, innovation, and climate action. The project boasts a 99% success rate, 80% utilization, and strong social impact through local hiring and community outreach. Designed for long-term sustainability, HeartReach offers a replicable model for industrial emergency response worldwide.
