Innovative Low Carbon Supplements DevelopmentTCI is committed to climate action, focusing on green product manufacturing and using eco-friendly materials to reduce GHG emissions and the carbon footprint of their products. Since 2021, TCI has developed health supplements, skincare products, and packaging from agricultural by-products like banana peels and stems, Djulis, and cashew nut skin, upcycling agricultural by-products, promoting sustainability. To reduce food waste and high carbon emissions, TCI uses green sustainable materials, purchasing discarded or composted agricultural by-products from farmers. They utilize biotechnology to upcycle these into diverse health products. By 2023, TCI successfully reduced 2,148 tons of agricultural by-products, developed 186 supplement and skincare products, reduced approximately 413 tons of CO2e. TCI also develops non-animal-based ingredients, such as VeCollal® vegan collagen and GLP-1 Formula weight loss ingredient. VeCollal® generates 15% less CO2e compared to bovine collagen, with the production of 500 mt of VeCollal® reducing approximately 12,039 mt of CO2e and saving 6,874 mt of water. The GLP-1 Formula has a lower carbon footprint than similar animal-based products.
