The backstage driving force of Net Zero EnvironmentDaimler Truck Group established Daimler Trucks Asia Taiwan Ltd. (DTAT) in 2016 through a joint venture with Shun Yi Group, serving as the exclusive distributor for FUSO products in Taiwan. Expanding its portfolio in 2022, DTAT incorporated Mercedes Benz Trucks to offer a wider range of commercial vehicles and services in alignment with Daimler Truck AG’s global strategy. The urgency to achieve Net Zero Emissions globally has intensified due to the imperative to mitigate climate change. The transportation sector, including Daimler Truck, plays a pivotal role in this endeavor. Daimler Truck endeavors to lead the transition to sustainable transportation solutions, aiming for Net Zero Emissions by 2050 through innovative product development and operational sustainability measures. In this context, the introduction of electric trucks, such as the FUSO New Generation eCanter, targets Taiwan's light-duty truck segment, aligning with national goal. Moreover, Daimler Truck's commitment extends to hydrogen trucks and megawatt charging stations, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to sustainable practices within the automotive industry.
