Proposal Background and Motivation In response to economic challenges from COVID-19, international tensions, and inflation, the Taichung City Government established a collaborative ecosystem among government, businesses, and citizens to achieve the visions of a "thriving and prosperous city" and a "sustainable happiness city." 2. Strategy and Actions The Taichung City Government's Economic Development Bureau annually hosts the "Taichung Shopping Festival" to boost the local economy, integrating innovative marketing and digital tools, with 35,600 partner stores participating. 3. Driving Economic and Social Benefits The plan supports SDG08 by significantly boosting local consumption, creating nearly 30,000 jobs annually, driving business digital transformation, and promoting environmental sustainability through paperless cloud invoices. 4. International Recognition The plan won the 2023 WITSA ICT Award for "Public Private Partnership" and the ASOCIO 2023 ICT Award for "Digital Transformation," recognizing its successful integration of digital technology to enhance economic development and quality of life, with global promotion through strategic international engagements.
