Over the long term, new immigrants to Taiwan faced and still have been facing numerous challenges. The unique cultural and social structure make female gender alone takes over 90% of new immigrant population in Taiwan, similar to that in Yunlin County.. Many of them lack confidence in their social status and struggle with multiple identities due to the disconnection from their original cultures. Without empowering their confidence, Taiwan’s immigration policy and culture will hardly enjoy the benefits of embracing, integrating culture fusion and its potential for regeneration in those alreadyvulnerablecommunities. This USR HUB Project — “Acting on Cultural Regeneration for Female New Immigrants in Yunlin: Integrating lives in Alien/Home Place’’ aims to make a change through educational strategies (Goal 4), assisting them towards a fair belonging state (Goal 5), strengthening the cultural resilience of new immigrants’ families, and narrowing unfair gaps (Goal 10). Acting on this project, teachers, instructors, students and local community members further converge into new social networks anticipation as the ‘New-New Cluster’ and ‘Yunlin New Women/YulinXinghao.
