Industrial Sustainability and Low-Carbon Intelligent Carbon Emission Management
The Lean Smart Manufacturing Laboratory provides comprehensive support and integrates solutions for the metal industry through three main aspects: "Lean Management," "Carbon Footprint Inventory," and "Digital Transformation." By collaborating with industry, government, academia, and research sectors, the laboratory assists enterprises in innovative product and service development and design. In recent years, in response to government policies, the laboratory has independently developed a Lean Smart Manufacturing Carbon Emission Monitoring System, which was awarded the Bronze Award at the 2023 Taiwan Sustainable Action Awards. The development of smart factories has become crucial, with key steps including carbon inventory and carbon footprint assessment. In 2023, over 11 workshops were held, providing a platform for teachers to learn and exchange ideas through various training activities and seminars. Specializing in carbon reduction and energy-saving technologies, the laboratory integrates resources through interdisciplinary collaboration, enhancing the value of lowcarbon technologies and promoting industrial connections both within and outside the university.
