Happy News! Happy to Read the NewspaperShin Kong Financial Holdings have been consecutively working with Mandarin Daily News for 11 years on the "Reading to Writing. Let’s Make Reading Easy" project, which is the first Charitable activity in Taiwan with the main purpose to improve students' knowledge and reading ability through reading newspapers, to narrow the gap in educational resources between urban and rural areas, and to promote kids’ learning efficiency by enhancing their reading power. The project also aims to strengthen the financial knowledge and saving habits of children in rural areas, in the hope of laying a solid foundation for their education. The project started with LiouGuei Elementary School and has expanded its scope year by year, with participation from rural elementary schools in Kaohsiung, Nantou, and Keelung. We hope that the reading program will light the torch of reading, so that more and more children lacking of learning resources will have the opportunity to expand their horizons and turn their future around through reading.
