Kaohsiung Municipal Siaogang Hospital

Kaohsiung Municipal Siaogang Hospital, as part of its efforts to uphold social responsibility and in collaboration with the government’s indigenous long-term care policy, has been promoting the establishment of cultural health stations to address elderly care challenges stemming from the effects of an aging society. Through collaborative efforts, the hospital established the Naluwan Cultural Health Station in 2016. As a pioneering effort nationwide, we integrated our medical healthcare model into the indigenous cultural health station. With a focus not only on indigenous life care, we started expanding our service capacity, combining nursing, rehabilitation, nutrition, and other medical specialties to manage the progression of chronic diseases in older adults. Also, we progressively introduced innovative smart services and activities in the environment, thereby providing older adults with a comfortable environment. Through cloud-based physiological data measurement, we can monitor the physical conditions of older adults, track abnormal values, and reduce the incidence rates of disability and dementia among indigenous older adults.
