The Sustainable Cradle of CPC
The petrochemical industry is the mother of industry, but with the global trend of talent and students moving towards the technology industry, the basic industry and petrochemical industry are facing a shortage of talent and difficulty in recruitment. CPC Corporation, Taiwan(CPC) deeply recognizes the importance of petroleum chemistry and energy professionals, and is leading the way in promoting lifelong energy education and cultivating talent in the petrochemical and energy industries to drive sustainable development. CPC makes good use of the Taiwan Oil Field Exhibition Hall, CPC Petroleum Discovery Museum, and the Kaohsiung Refinery Environmental Education Park, which serve as ideal lifelong environmental education bases that connect with local communities and promote mutual benefits. They continue to promote energy-related education and extend it to remote areas, providing a platform for the public to participate in energy issues. In addition, CPC has long cooperated with schools to establish industry-academia collaboration programs, linking the industry with academia to cultivate industry professionals, hiring outstanding students, and setting an example for "local talent retention," "industry education," and "creating local employment opportunities." This has led to other state-owned enterprises following suit, sparking a wave of industry-academia cooperation. At the same time, CPC combines the concept of university social responsibility (UCSR) through various cooperation methods with schools to encourage students to combine theory and practice. They also cooperate with the Chinese Petroleum Institute and the Chinese Association for Energy Economics to establish thesis scholarships, and co-organize the " Green Life Creative Design Competition" with the Taiwan Panasonic Group, igniting new sparks of creativity in students and meeting industry talent needs, as well as strengthening the connection between the public and the CPC brand.
