“eRead for the Future" eReader mobile library Project - Advancing to Penghu County in 2022
E Ink Holdings Inc. has initiated "eRead for the Future" eReader mobile library project since 2017, aiming to promote visual friendly digital reading and enhance reading literacy in remote elementary schools nationwide. The project aims to be rolled out in one county each year, using E Ink's core ePaper technology and working with ePaper ecosystem partners to leverage their expertise, products, and technology advantages to donate eReaders and ebooks to remote schools. To date, the project has been completing in Nantou County, Changhua County, Chiayi County, New Taipei City, and Taoyuan City. In 2022, the project had expanded to Penghu County, established a digital library based on diverse, portable, eye-friendly, and long-term reading suitable ebooks in six counties in Taiwan.
"eRead for the Future" is not only implemented in Taiwan but also collaborates with ecosystem partners in the communities where E Ink’s factories are located. We evaluate the social needs of different regions and bring the "eReader mobile library" into schools. The project has been also gradually implement in other regions, such as Yangzhou in China, Seoul in Korea, and Boston in the United States. As the company and brand grow globally, E Ink hopes to continue to contribute positively to society and strive towards sustainable integration and coexistence for a better future.
