Create Sustainable Towns, Build Happy Homelands
E.SUN bank is committed to becoming a reliable partner for both businesses and households. Through the "Regional Revitalization Financing Plan" to promote sustainable development in rural areas, and the "Reconstruction Financing Plan for Urban Unsafe and Old Buildings" to create a friendly and livable environment, E.SUN bank aims to achieve the United Nations SDGs 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and builds a sustainable and livable home for all people.
By partnering with external stakeholders from industry, officials, and universities, E.SUN bank deals with the financing difficulties faced by businesses in rural areas. To address the problem of lack of financial resources and insufficient transformation experience faced by the businesses in rural areas, E.SUN bank collaborates with regional revitalization representative, Mr. Ho Pei-chun, and the Taiwan Regional Revitalization Foundation, the only non-profit organization in Taiwan focusing on regional revitalization, to connect funding and counseling platforms and provides tailor-made financing programs to make regional revitalization prosperous. As of 2022, E.SUN bank injected into the initiative a total of NT$7.6 billion, supported more than 1,800 local businesses to obtain operating funds, created more than 10,000 job opportunities, and promoted industry development and local economic vitality.
In the process of reconstruction, people often face difficulties such as a lack of professional knowledge, integrating opinions, and raising funds. To deal with this issue, E.SUN bank establishes a team dedicated to promoting the reconstruction of urban unsafe and old buildings, and adapts a cooperation model with its branches to deeply understand customers' reconstruction financing needs. In addition, E.SUN bank plans customized financial services, and collaborates with the Taiwan Architecture Center and the National Architects Association to provide professional architectural knowledge to help customers create a happy homeland. As of 2022, E.SUN bank started a total of 70 cases of reconstruction financing plans for urban unsafe and old buildings, held more than a hundred landowner briefing sessions, and assisted more than 200 landowners in obtaining reconstruction funds.
