Project for Taichung Melody
The " Project for Taichung Melody " takes the beautiful life in Taichung as its core concept, and promotes the safety plan of inclusive parks, gender-friendly toilets, and children's playgrounds. Through new thinking and practices that are different from the past, it provides citizens with entertainment, happy travel, healthy and green living environment, through improving the city's green foundation, Taichung City will be built into a happy garden city.
(1) SDG 13 Climate Action - Improving the quality of green space, the green space per capita jumped to the second place in the country
By the end of 2011, there were 1,085 parks, green paths, and squares under the jurisdiction of the Construction Bureau, with a total area of 9,570,995m². The per capita green area ratio has increased to 9.56 m², ranking second in the country. Renovation and reuse of the site environment, injecting new life. In addition to improving the environment, new life is also injected. The completed projects include Green Corridor, Flower Road, etc., and the construction is inclusive and safe, resilient and sustainable cities.
(2) SDG 11 Sustainable Cities - Citizens Participate in the Improvement of Children's Playgrounds to Achieve a Happy Childhood
In the early stage of the project promotion, due to the neglect of consultation and communication with civic groups, it led to the incident of protesting on the Internet. Under the team's review and goodwill response, it received good feedback from the public. And strongly invite local people, NGOs and community organizations to participate in children's travel workshops and substantive reviews.
" Project for Taichung Melody " is based on the principle of balanced development between urban and rural areas. The improvement of children's play has been certified by the Ministry of Health and Service, providing a comfortable and safe space for the public to relax.
(3) SDG 5 Gender Equality - Create gender-friendly toilets and optimize the toilet environment
Based on the microclimate concepts, it provides a toilet environment for parent-child, breastfeeding, barrier-free, gender equality and religious habits. And the introduction of intelligent maintenance has brought the maintenance and management of public toilets into a new milestone.
