Taiwan-Malaysia local revival model: BAIK Selangor
Selangor goods are the pride of Taiwan and Malaysia's local revival program! Yunlin University Town Empowerment Team, Zhushan Town Cultural and Creative, Smile Taiwan, and Malaysia P Lab jointly launched the Taiwan-Malaysia revival program, "BAIK Selangor” was the first government promoted event, created 35 government certified products and 18 local cultural brands, led 17 traditional business transformations, and trained over 30 local management talents. The program earned 430,000 RM (NTD 3 million) through crowdfunding, e-commerce collaboration, and other events.
The "2022-2023 BAIK Selangor" will continue the 2021 local revival program through industry-university alliance with Yunlin University and three Malaysian universities. A support system formed by enterprises partnership (SDG17) through the "Asian Digital Convergence Center of Small Town Cultural and Creative." Revive Selangor economy by assisting industry transformation, strengthening enterprise success, and promoting sustainable economic growth (SDG8). The competition finalists were certified as "Selangor New Village Goods" with opportunity to become government designated souvenirs and promoted to international markets.
